I’ve always been interested in how to support the health of the human body through natural means, which lead me to study Naturopathy at Nature Care College in Sydney. Through my studies and then work as a Naturopath I discovered my true passion lay in working with the body in a very experiential, tactile and kinaesthetic way. I’ve since specialised in massage and movement therapy.
My yoga journey began 14 years ago with an Ashtanga Yoga class held in my home town of Montreal, Canada. I soon felt the physical and mental benefits of the practice and I was hooked! Since then I’ve studied Hatha and Iyengar styles of Yoga, but it was the discovery of Yogalates in 2004 whilst living in Northern NSW that started me on the path to teaching. I appreciated the style for its gentle yet effective approach, and its commitment to incorporating the latest research in order to use the practices of Yoga and Pilates in the safest, most appropriate way for our modern needs.
I feel so very honoured to work with my clients and students. I try to provide a sanctuary for them, a place to come to discover themselves, to experience their body/mind as it is and to explore the potential of how it can be – happy, healthy and at ease. I love seeing someone float out of a massage or class – especially if they’ve come in frazzled and stressed. I’m so grateful to be part of that process of transformation.
